Software repair and replacement

Investigate the application before deciding how much to replace.

A scheduled script may still run but depend on an old file format. An internal application may have become hard to change because its rules are buried in code. We examine the current behavior and explain the options.

Keep the rules that still matter

We compare the implementation with records and the team’s manual workarounds. Sometimes a repair is enough. Sometimes the connection needs replacing, with particular behavior carried into the new version.

Plan the switch

Where possible, we compare replacement output in a test environment before it posts anything live. The switch also has to account for jobs already running and orders waiting in a queue.

A code rollback cannot reverse a posted invoice. We agree the recovery steps separately and include them in the handover. Ask us to look at the existing software.
